Help Others Find Their Own
Hi, I'm Paris—and if we haven't met yet, welcome.
In 2022, I made a promise to myself: I would stop waiting and start pursuing the life I dreamed about. One of those dreams was creating Back to the Drawing Board. I finally took the leap and launched this blog. But as life often does, it took me on an unexpected journey, and for a while, I had to step away.
Now it's 2026, and I'm returning with purpose.
Not just to write, but to build a community. A place where people can find hope, encouragement, and the reminder that it's never too late to begin again.
For a long time, I questioned whether I had anything worth saying. I wondered if my story, my experiences, or my perspective could truly make a difference in someone else's life. But growth has a way of challenging our doubts. I've learned that our stories matter—not because they're perfect, but because they're real.
If you know me personally, then you already know what to expect here. I write the same way I speak: honestly, openly, and with empathy.
I'm also a proud lesbian and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Identity, mental health, healing, and belonging are deeply important to me. While I've always felt called to encourage and support others, I've also spent years navigating my own journey. Through those experiences, I've learned that caring for our mental health is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. When our minds are healthy, we're better equipped to face life's challenges, build meaningful relationships, and pursue the future we hope for.
Life hasn't always gone according to plan. There have been setbacks, unexpected detours, and seasons that tested my strength. But those moments have also shaped who I am today. They taught me resilience, compassion, and the courage to keep moving forward.
That's the heart behind Back to the Drawing Board.
This is a place for honest conversations, life lessons, weekly encouragement, and reminders that every setback can become a new beginning. My hope is that when you visit, you feel welcomed, understood, and inspired to keep writing your own story.
Because no matter where you are today...
It's never too late to grow.
It's never too late to heal.
And it's never too late to begin again.
Thank you for being here.
Welcome to the journey.
